About Us
The Muslim Community Helpline has been operation since March 2007 and aims to provide a listening and emotional support service for members of the community.
Prior to its launch, members of the group had worked for 19 years founding and running the Muslim Women’s Helpline. For main issues arising from our dealings with clients, see News section for latest newsletter.
The service operates Monday to Friday 10 am to 1 pm. Members also give talks, participate in consultations, train and contribute expertise and insights gained from their experience.
We are members of various bodies including National Coalition for Independent Associations.
For those who do not know, the Helpline is reliant on voluntary donations and the occasional philanthropic grant from a private trust – for which we are grateful. As a result, the Helpline operates from the homes of volunteers using a call diversion service. The Helpline is currently operating on less than £3,000 per year.
Service Operates Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm (core hours)
